Come join us on an 10-night safari to Tanzania’s top national parks following The Great Migration, which is considered one of the world’s most amazing wildlife events. On our safari, we’ll spend 8 days on game drives where you will have the opportunity to see Lions, Leopards, Rhinos, Elephants and Cape Buffalo (aka The Big Five) plus millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles migrating together through the southern Serengeti. And you’ll see countless giraffes, impala, monkeys, baboons, hyenas and a large variety of birds and much, much more!

We arrive in Tanzania at the Kilimanjaro International Airport. We’ll overnight in Arusha and the next day we fly on a small charter flight to western Tanzania where our guides and drivers join us for game drives through Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the famed Serengeti National Park. We end each day at a lux camp or lodge situated in a unique location where we’ll enjoy watching the sunset around a campfire and enjoy good food, friends and abundant Tanzanian hospitality. For a special treat we will get up early one morning and enjoy a hot air balloon flight over the Serengeti plains at sunrise seeing the wildlife from a whole different perspective. At the end of the safari, we fly back to Arusha for an overnight stay and depart the next day for home with our hearts full of memories and our phones full of pictures.

January is
Calving Season in Tanzania

We choose to safari in January in Tanzania because, in addition to the migration coming through, it is also the season when all the wildlife are having babies. It’s a joy to see the newly-born and how their mother’s and families care for and protect them. It’s also a time when the cats are on the hunt for the most vulnerable prey.

In January, there are fewer tourist and the weather in Tanzania is in the 80s by day and the 60s by night.
